The AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED course is a video based, instructor led program designed for lay rescuers. It teaches essential skills for recognizing cardiac arrest, performing high-quality CPR, and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on adults, children, and infants. This OSHA-compliant course covers choking relief, and AED safety. This class is aimed at the Hospital Patient Observer, Child Care provider, or Layperson looking for a CPR Class. 

Key Details

  • Target Audience: Anyone with limited medical training needing a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. This class is for Patient Observers, Child Care Providers, Sports Coaches, etc. 
  • Key Skills Taught:
    • Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED usage.
    • Effective breaths using a pocket face mask and Bag Valve Mask.
    • Choking relief.
    • Opioid-associated emergency response.
  • Certification: Upon completion, learners receive an AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years.  There is no written exam at the end of this program.
