The BLS instructor course is an intensive course for those individuals who have already successfully completed an American Heart Association BLS provider course. This course is designed to train instructor candidates to conduct BLS and Heartsaver provider courses.

Instructor candidates must meet certain requirements before taking the instructor course.

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Have a current American Heart Association BLS provider card at the time of the class. 

The instructor course has 3 parts.

1. Online Instructor Essentials course
2. The classroom portion,
3. Monitored teaching a life class with Training Center Faculty.

Books are not covered in the cost of the class.  It is expected that students will purchase books prior to class.
